ENROLLMENT/REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS
New to BISD
GATHER YOUR DOCUMENTS
Parent/guardian must provide the following required documentation for ALL new enrolling students:
- Student’s birth certificate
- Student’s Social Security card
- Student’s current, up-to-date immunization record
- Proof of residency in Brownwood ISD; must be a utility bill, or rental/mortgage agreement
- Enrolling parent/guardian’s driver’s license
QUALIFY FOR PRE-K
Children who will be 3 or 4 years old on September 1, 2024 must apply for Pre-K by attending the pre-registration event at the Brownwood ISD Central Support Center on Wednesday, April 3 (11 am to 6 pm) or Thursday, April 4 (9 am to 4 pm) . Be prepared to provide the following documentation in order to qualify for Pre-K:
- Proof of income for the previous month, including one of the following for all wage earners in the household: pay stubs, W-2, Child Support, 2023 income tax return
- Current EDG letter verifying SNAP benefits for the child
- Foster form 2085 for a student who is or has ever been in the care of DFPS
- Eligibility letter for Medicaid or CHIPS

ONLINE ENROLLMENT
Save time and complete the online enrollment forms at home.
- New enrolling students: Click here to access ParentPortal
- If you already have a parent portal account, login and go to My
- Account—> Skip to Step 1
- If you do not have an existing parent portal account, click “Create
- Account”.
Step 1 - From the My Account page, click Enroll a New Student.
- Enter full name.
- Obtain and enter the enrollment key.
- Enter addresses and contact information.
- Enter student information.
- Upload any required documents.
- Complete enrollment forms.
Step 2 - Once complete, click Enroll Student to submit to district.
ON-SITE ENROLLMENT (REQUIRED)
Pre-K and Kinder parents attending the pre-enrollment event on April 3 or 4 will receive their confirmation and ParentPortal letter in mid July/early August.
SCHOOL BUS TRANSPORTATION REQUESTS
Click here to complete the transportation request form if your child needs bus transportation for the 2023-2024 school year.
All Students
Please visit your child's campus to obtain your portal id if you do not see your student in your ParentPortal account.
COMPLETE REGISTRATION FOR THE UPCOMING SCHOOL YEAR
ALL students must complete the required Registration forms each year.
From the Summary page in ParentPortal, click Registration.
Click Start Registration.
Complete all forms. There are several types of forms:
▶ VIEW ONLY:
Click Next Form to confirm that you viewed the form.
▶ DOWNLOAD:
Click Download Attached Document.
▶ REVIEW AND UPDATE:
Add or change data as needed.
▶ CONTACTS:
Click Add User to add a new contact.
Click Next Form until you have reviewed and updated all forms.
Once finished, click Finish and Submit to District.
Print the confirmation for your records
