BHS is Alive with ‘The Sound of Music’
Brownwood High School (BHS) students have been rehearsing for their upcoming school musical, The Sound of Music, since the first week of November. “The school musical is open to any BHS student,” stated BHS Choir Director, Jennifer Reeves. “Many veteran choir and theatre students are involved in the musical, but this year there are also many new students that aren't involved in a choir or theatre class and this is their first time to even set foot on a stage.”
Performances are Friday, Jan. 24 at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 25 at 2:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., and Sunday, Jan. 26 at 2:30 pm. All performances will be held at the Dorothy McIntosh Auditorium at BHS. Tickets will be sold at the door, $7 adults and $5 for students. Click here to purchase tickets online.
“This is a family-friendly show for all ages,” noted Reeves. “It features popular songs that I think most people are familiar with including, Do-Re-Mi, My Favorite Things and The Sound of Music.”
