With record-breaking times in ten events, the team accomplished their goal of becoming district champions, and then some. The team State Championship is the first for a Brownwood girls’ program in school history; it is also the first State title for any BHS team since 1986.

BISD is thrilled to announce its first-ever Ability Expo, an event dedicated to showcasing the talents and achievements of students in BISD Life Academics programs, as well as providing planning support and resources for families. The event will take place on May 6, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at BISD Central Support Center.

On Saturday, April 12, the Brownwood High School Lionettes Drill Team took the auditorium stage at the annual spring show. The 2025 theme was “Music Legends and Lionettes. The showcase not only highlighted the skills and creativity of the team, but also provided an opportunity for additional students to participate as inter-acts and emcees.

On Thursday, April 17, The Snags and Catch It competed in the annual Coggin 6th Grade Flag Football Super Bowl. The event was held at the Brownwood High School practice field and included the 6th Grade Choir performing the National Anthem and the BHS Drumline pumping up the crowd.
