• NEW STUDENT ENROLLMENT

    How to enroll a student in PK who is 3 or 4 as of September 1, 2022:

     

    1. Children who will be 3 or 4 years old on September 1, 2022 must apply for Pre-K by clicking HERE. A child must meet one of the qualifying criteria below. Be prepared to upload the following documentation in order to submit a Pre-K application:

     

      • Proof of income for the previous month, including one of the following for all wage earners in the household: pay stubs, W-2, Child Support, 2021 income tax return
      • Current EDG letter verifying SNAP benefits for the child
      • Foster form 2085 for a student who is or has ever been in the care of DFPS
      • Eligibility letter for Medicaid or CHIPS

     

    1. Watch for an approval email.
    2. Register the child online through Ascender Parent Portal. Click HERE for instructions. Be prepared to upload the following documents to complete registration:

     

      • Student’s birth certificate
      • Student’s Social Security card
      • Student’s current, up-to-date immunization record
      • Proof of residency in Brownwood ISD; must be a utility bill, or rental/mortgage agreement
      • Enrolling parent/guardian’s driver’s license

     

    1. Phone the Project Neighborhood campus in your attendance zone after Monday, August 8 to ensure that the student’s registration is complete. Click HERE to determine your Project Neighborhood campus.

     

    How to enroll a KG through grade 12 student who is NEW to Brownwood ISD:

     

    1. Enroll the student via Ascender Parent Portal by Clicking HERE for instructions. To complete registration, be prepared to upload the following required documentation for ALL new enrolling students:

     

      • Student’s birth certificate
      • Student’s Social Security card
      • Student’s current, up-to-date immunization record
      • Proof of residency in Brownwood ISD; must be a utility bill, or rental/mortgage agreement
      • Enrolling parent/guardian’s driver’s license
