PRE-K & KINDERGARTEN PRE-REGISTRATION (2023-2024)
The annual qualification and pre-registration event for 3- to 5-year-old children for the 2023-2024 school year will take place at the Brownwood ISD Central Support Center on Tuesday, April 4 (11 am to 6 pm), and Wednesday, April 5 (9 am to 4 pm).
Children who are 3 or 4 on or before September 1, 2023, are eligible to apply for Pre-K. Currently enrolled 3-year-olds must requalify for the new school year. Children who are 5 on or before September 1, 2023, will pre-register for kindergarten unless they are currently enrolled in Pre-K.

How to pre-register a Pre-K student for the 2023-2024 school year:
Children who will be 3 or 4 years old on September 1, 2023 must apply for Pre-K by attending the pre-registration event at the Brownwood ISD Central Support Center on Tuesday, April 4 (11 am to 6 pm), or Wednesday, April 5 (9 am to 4 pm). Be prepared to provide the following documentation in order to qualify for Pre-K:
- Proof of income for the previous month, including one of the following for all wage earners in the household: pay stubs, W-2, Child Support, 2022 income tax return
- Current EDG letter verifying SNAP benefits for the child
- Foster form 2085 for a student who is or has ever been in the care of DFPS
- Eligibility letter for Medicaid or CHIPS
Parent/guardian must provide the following required documentation for ALL new enrolling students:
- Student’s birth certificate
- Student’s Social Security card
- Student’s current, up-to-date immunization record
- Proof of residency in Brownwood ISD; must be a utility bill, or rental/mortgage agreement
- Enrolling parent/guardian’s driver’s license
