Brownwood ISD Registration Process

  • Brownwood ISD has announced the schedule for student registration for the upcoming school year.  For students who attended the district in the 2017-2018 school year, registration will be completed online this year.
     

    Parents of returning students may complete all documentation through their txConnect Parent Portal account (https://brownwood.tx.txeis15.net/txConnect/Login.aspx).  Resource documents can be found on the left hand navigation.  If anyone requires assistance with the online registration, he/she may attend a registration session for new students, as listed below.

     

    ***Students who attended Head Start in the 2017-2018 school year and will be moving into Pre-K or Kinder are considered returning students.  Please refer to the Returning Student Registration page.*** 
     
     

    For students who are NEW to BISD this year, enrollment will take place per the following schedule:

    (Note: Parents of students who are new to BISD must come in to finalize the enrollment process.)

    Grades PK - 6  @ Brownwood ISD Administration Office

    • Monday, July 30, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. or 
    • Tuesday, July 31, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

    Grades 7 -  12 @ Brownwood ISD Administration Office

    • Wednesday, August 1, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. or
    • Thursday, August 2, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

     

    The parent or guardian of each new student must provide the following:

    1)  Parent/guardian photo ID      

    2)  Child’s birth certificate

    3)  Child’s Social Security card    

    4)  Child’s up-to-date immunization record

    5)  Proof of address:

       A)  If you OWN your home, bring ONE of the following:

    • Purchase contract or mortgage with date of possession (not closing date)
    • Current electric, water, or gas bill

       B)  If you RENT your home, bring ONE of the following:

    • Signed lease or rental agreement, including move-in date
    • Current electric, water, or gas bill

       C)  If you LIVE WITH ANOTHER FAMILY, the homeowner or renter must accompany the
               Parent/Guardian to enroll new students. All of the following must be submitted:

    • A BISD Student Residency Statement available at registration
    • An electric, water, or gas bill in the owner’s/renter’s name

    6)  Information from the last school attended

    7)  Court documents affecting the parent/child relationship

    *NEW PK STUDENTS ONLY - Proof of previous month’s income or letter of eligibility for SNAP or TANF benefits must also be presented.
