Coggin Intermediate will be my home this year as I work with fourth through sixth grade. I have been teaching for twenty years. My classroom experience includes teaching first grade through fourth grade. I received my Bachelor’s Degree from Tarleton State University in 1994 majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies (Elementary Education) and my Master’s Degree in Instructional Design and Curriculum from AIU in 2006. My certifications include Early Childhood-4th grade, Grades 1-8 English emphasis, Grades 1-8 all core subject areas, Reading Specialization 1-8, ESL Supplemental, and Gifted and Talented Supplemental.
The Gifted and Talented Pull-Out Program currently serves students in grades K-6 who have demonstrated areas of giftedness. The curriculum builds on core content through projects that address multiple content areas. Students will be required to apply critical thinking, creative thinking, communication skills, and research while investigating topics of interest.
