Woodland Heights Elementary recently announced its STAR students for the second nine weeks. The STAR Award is typically given to one boy and one girl from each class, each nine-weeks.
Sparkly red shoes, blue and white gingham, cowardly lions, hollow tin and stuffed straw men, and a villain green with envy mark the iconic pieces of the show, “The Wizard of Oz.” While the plot of the story illustrates the importance of friendship, the courage and wit a journey requires, and the heart to overcome obstacles, the third-grade students at Woodland Heights Elementary who recently performed the show on January 15th-17th, 2019, learned even more valuable lessons.

The Students at Woodland Heights are rocking the Read-a-Thon fundraiser to support their library! We started on Monday, November 5th, and have already read over 6000 minutes to earn rewards!
