Woodland Heights Receives Check for $10,000 from Goody's! Our school was one out of 1000 schools nationwide, selected by Goody's Family Clothing to receive a check for $10,000, as part of their Goody's Good Deed Grant. On Wednesday, May 7th, Melissa Mullins, the general manager of the Brownwood Goody's store, presented a check for $10,000 to Principal Bob Turner at a school assembly. The money will be used to construct 'The Learning Garden.' This beautiful 52 ft. diameter garden will be placed at the front of the school and will contain a hummingbird area, a butterfly garden, a native plants section, a vegetable garden, a story book garden, a water feature, and many more exciting things. The landscape architect who designed the project, Gayle McNeil, was also present for the assembly. When the garden is completed, students will get hands on education from planting and maintaining this special area. THANK YOU, GOODY'S!
