Students at Northwest Elementary enjoyed various western themed activities for “Texas Day” in early March. Children rotated through different stations on the playground where they waited their turn for events that included hay rides, the boot scramble, sack races, stick-horse racing, roping, the cow-pie toss (frisbee) and more.
The Brownwood High School one-act play, “The Mill on the Floss” continued to earn high praise as it advanced from the Area competition on Saturday, April 12th at Angelo State University in San Angelo.
In early April, Billy Taylor’s kindergarten class at Northwest Elementary began working on a wooden wishing well to be used to collect money for the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.
The Brownwood 6th grade band, Middle School Band, and High School Jazz Band will perform at the Dinner and a Concert event at the Brownwood Intermediate Cafeteria on Tuesday. Cost is $5.00 per person and take-out is available.
Students from the Brownwood High School Choir competed at the Region 7 UIL Concert & Sight-reading Contest at Southwest High School in Fort Worth on Tuesday, April 8th, under the direction of Cindy Franklin, Director, and Amber Chapleau, Assistant Director.
