For the 2nd year Northwest Elementary has been chosen as a Texas Business and Education Coalition Honor Roll School.  The TBEC Honor Roll is the most prestigious award for sustained, academic excellence in Texas.  It recognizes schools that have demonstrated three years of consistent, high performance in all subjects compared to other schools serving similar student populations.  Of the more than 8,000 Texas public schools, less than 5% are named as Honor Roll Schools.  Congratulations to students and staff of Northwest Elementary for receiving this award.

Blue Bell ice cream gave an ice cream party for the entire school in honor of Mrs. Streckert being named Elementary Teacher of the Year.  Yummy!
