Welcome to Coggin Elementary School in Brownwood, Texas.  We are a fourth grade campus of approximately 250 students.  This campus incorporates all fourth graders in Brownwood ISD and provides the academic and social education which will enable our students to be successful team members in all their future endeavors.

     Coggin has thirteen classroom teachers, a certified counselor, a nurse, four instructional aides, a secretary, and three custodians.  Each and every staff member is very dedicated and contributes to the success of each student.  Elementary school is such an important time for our students as they lay the academic and social foundation on which they will build throughout their lives.  I am glad to be a part of this special time in their lives.

     I grew up south of Brownwood in Richland Springs and have heard about Brownwood all my life.  My wife, Lynette and I have two children, Alyssa and Ryan.  I love sports, outdoor activities and watching NASCAR.  I have worked at the elementary and junior high levels, and have been a school administrator for six years.  I learned quickly that elementary school is the place for me.  I’m glad to be in a community that supports the school system and our whole family feels fortunate to be in a district where academic success is the priority.
