Woodland Heights Elementary was recently selected to be on the Texas Business & Education Coalition 2009 Honor Roll. Receiving the award on behalf of the school were (back row, left to right): Carole McNabb (1st Grade), Nancy Lowry (1st Grade), Carol Nicholas (3rd Grade), Pamela Deaver (2nd Grade); (front row, left to right): Bob Turner (Principal), and Dorothy Lundy (Kindergarten). Woodland Heights was one of only 54 Texas schools to have won this honor as many as five times.

2009-2010 Student Handbook

In 2006, Woodland Heights applied for a $10,000 Goody's "Good Deeds for Schools" grant. There were fifty of these given out across the country. In the spring of 2007, we learned that we were the only Texas school to receive this grant! Because of the extensive remodeling of our building in the 2008-2009 school year, we are finally getting our Margie Michael Learning Garden project started.
